Description
The Santa Lucía del Trampal Interpretation Center is a space dedicated to highlighting the value of the Visigothic Basilica of the same name, one of the most unique early medieval monuments in the southern peninsula. Located next to the archaeological site, it offers visitors a clear and accessible view of the history of the site and its evolution.
The exhibition tour presents the historical context of the territory, from the Roman era to the Visigothic period, showing how the landscape and human occupation transformed. It also explains the architecture of the basilica through models and visual resources that highlight its tripartite layout and its constructive features. Archaeological elements found in the surroundings are displayed, as well as information about the evolution of the building, from its origin to its restoration in the 20th century. Panels and audiovisuals help to understand its liturgical function and its heritage importance. The center is an essential visit before accessing the interior of the temple.
