The Cow of Torreorgaz

The Vaca de Torreorgaz is a unique Carnival that has been celebrated for over 35 years in the municipality from which it takes its name. The Vaca is a triangle with a horn at each tip and a sack of esparto grass at the back that simulates a tail. The carrier of the Vaca approaches the participants and asks them for money, accepting any amount, from cents to bills; if they do not offer money to the Vaca, it hits them with the hisopo.
