Description
The Tuero Museum is located in the historic Casa del Cura, a 16th-century building that the Diocese of Coria-Cáceres transferred to the Aldea del Cano Town Hall.
Its permanent ethnographic exhibition gathers 26 traditional professions and more than 10,000 pieces, offering a comprehensive view of rural life in Aldea del Cano. The museum acts as a faithful testimony to the collective memory of the village and the activities that structured daily life.
Among its most representative spaces are the recreation of an old grocery store from the early 20th century, the forge, the barber shop, the school, the area dedicated to postal services, and numerous agricultural tools. It also preserves unique items, such as a butter-making machine that is almost two centuries old.
Visits must be arranged in advance, specifying the day and time, and are conducted from Wednesday to Sunday, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
