Description

The Museum of Historical Uniforms, founded by Emilio Mariño, displays 61 uniforms —in addition to preserving another 150 in reserve— belonging to the three armies and various police forces, such as the Civil Guard, the Armed Police, the National Police, the Security Police, the Assault Guard, and the Carabinieri, all representative of the last hundred years. Among the most notable pieces are a Civil Guard uniform dated 1853 and the recreation of a barracks of this force during the Second Republic, in 1931. The purpose of the museum is to recognize and value the work and dedication of the armed forces and the various police bodies. Visits require prior request through the available contact methods. The museum is open on Saturdays and Sundays, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
