Description
The Open House Days of Villasviejas del Tamuja are an annual event held in May and have become a tradition in the region, aimed at showcasing this important archaeological site. During the event, heritage, nature, and community intertwine, bringing together visitors, locals, specialists, and associations to relive the history of the Vetton past and enjoy the cultural richness of the surroundings.
The program includes activities for all ages: guided tours by archaeologists to the fort, where its structures, walls, and findings are explained; walking routes through the pasture surrounding the site; and educational and recreational workshops for children and adults.
In addition, historical reenactments are performed that display the Vetton way of life, with clothing, rituals, and demonstrations of ancient techniques, offering an educational and experiential experience. The day culminates with a communal meal, live music, and raffles of local products, creating a festive and social atmosphere.
